FORM GUIDE

a black and white photo of a spoon

Hammer & Walshy

aka

Batman and Robin

Hammer plays golf like Batman at therapy—sometimes okay, mostly dark. Walshy, a 36-handicap Robin, contributes enthusiasm but minimal skill, mainly good for carrying clubs and cracking jokes nobody asked for. They'll spend the weekend yelling "Fore!" louder than Batman yelling at Robin to stop embarrassing him. Prediction: Last place. The Joker would play better.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Tex & Simmo B

aka

Thor & Loki

Tex wields his clubs like Thor’s hammer—powerful and precise until the greens mock him. Simmo B’s excuses flow smoother than Loki’s hair; everything's someone else’s fault, usually the ball or gravity. Expect brotherly banter escalating to near-violence by hole 9. Prediction: Promising start, disastrous end. Tears likely, lightning improbable.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Chris & Reidy

aka

Captain America and Bucky

Chris is Captain America—solid but so polite he apologizes to balls before slicing them. Reidy arrives from booze-free exile and will last precisely two beers before waking up lost on the practice green. Together, they’ll valiantly battle mediocrity and sobriety. Prediction: Mid-table finish, morale victory, literal defeat.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Rick & Lynchy

aka

Iron Man and War Machine

Rick plays like Iron Man’s suits—high-tech swing, collapses spectacularly under pressure. Lynchy, proudly displaying his dusty trophies, is War Machine—solid backup who peaked when DVDs were still relevant. Their Sunday meltdown is tradition. Prediction: Epic collapse, mid-table anonymity. Cue dramatic monologue.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Jase & Conall

aka

Flash and Green Lantern

Conall is as swift as Flash, climbing leaderboards unseen and unheard—mainly because nobody’s paying attention. Jase, smooth swing by day and party animal by night, misses more Sunday mornings than Green Arrow misses targets. Prediction: Fast start, faster disappearance. MIA by Monday.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Danny & Luke

aka

Professor X and Magneto

Danny, respected leader of TAT yet still winless, resembles Professor X—strategizing endlessly with no practical result. Luke, golfing Magneto, occasionally demonstrates supernatural talent (like his fluky 80), then immediately forgets how gravity works. Prediction: Noble effort, inevitable tragedy, followed by existential questions.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Crowy & Simo T

aka

Deadpool and Cable

Crowy’s swing is like Deadpool’s sanity—unpredictable, hilarious, and mostly non-existent. Simo T blames fatherhood for ruining his swing, forgetting it was already rubbish. Their rounds will be comedy routines with occasional golf interruptions. Prediction: Bottom third, maximum laughs, minimum putts.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Cain & Nick

aka

Superman and Jimmy Olson

Cain’s handicap of 4 is Superman-level—too skilled to be among mortals. Nick without watermelon spritz is Jimmy Olsen without a camera—completely useless and mildly annoying. Prediction: Cain heroically carries Nick until inevitably collapsing from frustration. Third place, lots of eye-rolling.

a black and white photo of a spoon

PT & Christian

aka

Rocket and Groot

Dom, the pommy, will melt in the Australian sun quicker than Groot at a bonfire. Christian quietly plots strategy while Dom loudly argues about Carlton. Expect Rocket-level tantrums and Groot-level vocabulary by Saturday. Prediction: Solid middle finish, angry Englishman ranting guaranteed.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Rog & Dan

aka

Hulk and Bruce Banner

Dan’s "controversial" handicap suggests Banner’s inner Hulk lurks behind polite smiles—explosive rounds ahead. Rog, veteran and father figure, calmly watches Dan implode hole-by-hole. Prediction: They’ll smash—mostly clubs, balls, and trees. Repeat victory as likely as Hulk meditating.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Yada & Kruges

aka

Spiderman and Ned

Yada swings between amazing and awful faster than Spider-Man webbing between buildings. Kruges, playing Ned, is here strictly for friendship and beer consumption. Golf skill optional (and absent). Prediction: Scores higher than Spider-Man’s skyscrapers. Championship impossible, entertainment guaranteed.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Chicken & Joel

aka

Wolverine and Cyclops

Chicken never brings his A-game, distracted eternally by Paula Creamer fantasies. Joel is Cyclops—steady, boring, and tragically unexciting. Chicken’s antics will overshadow Joel’s solid-yet-mediocre golf. Prediction: Mid-pack finish, zero chance of heroics. Memorable only through embarrassing stories.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Rob & Normie

aka

Batman and Alfred

Rob, the "ever reliable" Batman, remains tragically winless. Normie, veteran Alfred, dispenses wisdom but golf skills retired last century. Expect polite nods, quiet despair, and "back in my day" stories. Prediction: Another dignified defeat, comfortably below average.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Tai & Ash

aka

Ant Man and The Wasp

Tai’s hyper-speed golfing is Ant-Man-level panic, racing through rounds like he's fleeing Thanos. Ash, easily swayed by nightlife, shrinks in form quicker than Ant-Man’s suit. Great pace, questionable results. Prediction: Brilliantly fast play, comically slow scoring. Mid-table anonymity.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Kieran & Wade

aka

Star Lord and Drax

Kieran’s "ambidextrously bad" golf perfectly mirrors Star-Lord’s leadership—enthusiastic, misplaced confidence, disastrous execution. Wade, golfing Drax, smashes drives far (rarely straight) and loudly proclaims victory at every bogey. Prediction: Will confuse enthusiasm for skill, ending heroically near last place.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Tatey & Jenko

aka

Aquaman and Mera

Tatey’s confusion about golf mirrors Aquaman’s confusion about land—both look utterly lost. Jenko’s low handicap frustrates him deeply; he's as unhappy as Aquaman reading movie reviews. Prediction: More balls in water than fish. Scores deeper underwater than Atlantis.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Jake & Greeny

aka

Hawkeye and Black Widow

Jake is elite at skating but golf talent resembles Hawkeye’s "superpower"—tragically useless without arrows. Greeny talks up his game better than Black Widow’s spy skills but similarly vanishes under pressure. Prediction: Lots of bravado, terrible execution, scores worse than a Marvel spinoff.

a black and white photo of a spoon

Baz & Ben

aka

Thing and Human Torch

Baz plays well sober—but nobody's ever seen it. Ben hits a maximum of 10 good shots per round, the rest flaming out spectacularly like Human Torch. They'll entertain while losing spectacularly. Prediction: Funniest team to watch implode. Championship chances: zero. Fire extinguisher recommended.
