Lynchy was a successful cricket captain and bowled a bit of off spin, past winner and capable of finishing amongst the leaders.  

Hammer (Steve Waugh)

Tough nuggety and hard, will be leading the charge late on Friday night and as such won’t trouble the leaders this weekend.

Big, strong and powerful, a decent handicap but based on some of the mis-hit drives recently just like Kallis won’t be winning the trophy this weekend.

Greeny (Mike Hussey)

Oozes class and on his day is a -10 handicapper, will go out hard on Friday night and be right in ti come Sunday. Ultimately will fall short by a couple of shots.  

Jenko (Viv Richards)

Who else could we compare the great man to but Viv, hard hitting and swagger to boot, Jenko will be aiming to take out all six longest drives this weekend and beating his personal best of 5 for the weekend. As the saying goes, drive for show putt for dough Jenko!

Normie (Clive Lloyd)

A true leader of men Normie will keep us all in line and calm the jitteriest of nerves in his team.

Tex (Tom Moody)

Tex does it all, and has a decent handicap. He groomes the fairways of Heritage for the rich and famous so knows where to hit a ball on the course, knowing where to hit it and actually doing it though are two different things!

The elder statesman is playing some great golf at the moment but we’ll here him complaining the greens aren’t like Keysie and as such will be somewhere down the bottom.

The finisher, but will he make, bubs is due pretty much as the tournament kicks off, the precedent has been set for newborns and golf trip attendance - you gotta wet bubs’ head it may as well be whilst playing golf.

Never say die attitude and competitive till the end without doubt the best golfer on our trip, but the handicapping works against good golfers and Cain will lose too many shots after being in front day 1 and 2!

Chicken (Kepler Wessels)

Chicken was a stylish and defensive opener for Hampton CC in his day, just like the knives he sharpens his short game is razor sharp too. Can he get off the tee?

Kieran (Merv Hughes)

The much loved newcomer will bring plenty to the weekend festivities unfortunately for him most of it will be in the bar rather than the course. Has been having some sneaky lessons but neither him or the coach can work out if he's left or right handed.

Nick (Matthew Hayden)

Powerful and hard hitting opening batsmen in his day. Recent form is patchy but can play to a much lower handicap than this. In with a chance.

Ash L (Curtly Ambrose)

Seriously capable of anything, one of the most powerful athletes in the tournament and just like the great Curtly can produce miracles - will it be Sunday when it counts?

Joel (Joel Garner)

Round two for Joel, I just couldn’t leave big bird out of our tournament and you’re his namesake. Super consistent just like big Joel and could challenge come Sunday.

Browny (Bruce Reid)

HC: 22

Browny is struggling with injuries. Hopefully the sticky tape won’t be required to get him through the weekend.

Jase (The Don)

The mystery man, I’ve heard great things about Jase and rumour has it he’ll be right in it uop to his eyeballs come Sunday. Surely like the Don the pressure will be too much and he’ll fail at the last hurdle!

Pete (Ian Botham)

Pete can do it all, just like Beefy. Long hard straight drives, but will be hanging out with Ash and Greeny at the bar and that ultimately will prove too much this weekend. To be fair he won’t be the first to come unstuck from the demon drink!

Wade (Ian Healy)

Wade will just keep fighting and like Heals will never give a handy little handicap and on those double shot holes we’ll see a couple of 4 pointers for sure.
